A Meaningful Newborn Photography Session in Dorset
Cole's newborn sessions as especially meaningful to me because he belongs to one of my very best friends. The home he was born is has been a journey for them over the last few years, a place they have poured their heart and soul into. It's the place where he entered the world, where he had his first cuddles, and where his first cries were heard.
It was so fitting to capture these early days here, newborn photography at home.
After months of renovating and carefully creating and curating a beautiful home in Dorset that felt completely like them, this space had already become so much more than just a house. Every details had been thoughtfully designed by my friend who is an interior designer, and it is so clear how much love had gone into creating somewhere that their family could grow.
And now, it held their newest chapter.
Welcoming Baby Cole Into the Family
Cole is their third baby, arriving into a home already full of love, laughter and excitement. He has two very proud big sisters who were completely smitten with him, constantly wanting to cuddle him, check on him, and be close to their baby brother. It is so beautiful to see a baby arrive into a family that already knows that kind of love.
Capturing Newborn Life at Home
Most of their session took place in the kitchen diner, the heart of their home. The beautiful natural light poured through the room. The space itself was stunning, but what made it special wasn't just how beautiful it looked, it was what was happening.
A newborn being held close at the kitchen island, while his sisters sipped hot chocolates. Big sisters leaving in for another kiss, the family gathered together in the room. And of course, Piper was there too. Their gorgeous dog who like most family dogs, wanted to be involved in everything.

I always love when pets are included in newborn sessions because they are such an important part of the family story.
There were feeds, cuddles, sleepy moments and little pauses, just as newborn life should be.
The Beginning of Cole's Story
These photos will always be there for Cole as he gets bigger. They will tell the story of him, joining a family ready to adore him.
