Beth and Rich’s August wedding was a day that felt effortlessly beautiful from beginning to end. Full of warmth, laughter, candlelight and so many thoughtful little moments, it was the perfect mix of elegant and relaxed.

After Bridal prep we headed to St Matthew's Church in Otterbourne, where family and friends gathered for a lovely traditional church ceremony. There’s always a special feeling with church weddings. The architecture and the stain glass really add to the feel of the day, the anticipation as guests arrive, the emotion during the ceremony and then that moment everyone spills outside afterwards ready to celebrate. Beth and Rich’s ceremony felt incredibly joyful and set the tone perfectly for the rest of the day. We celebrated with confetti outside the church, which creates such natural lovely moments, focussing on them as a couple, with those that they love in the background.

Afterwards, everyone made their way to Kimbridge Barn for the reception, and it truly is such a stunning venue. The beautifully restored barn has so much character while still feeling bright and modern, with authentic wooden beams, rustic chandeliers and huge windows filling the space with natural light. It manages to feel cosy and airy at the same time, which makes it such a gorgeous setting for weddings.

We took some incredible couple photos when we arrived, taking a short stroll out of the venue to some woodland, At one point a butterfly stayed fluttering around Beth and Rich for ages while we were taking photos, which somehow felt like the perfect little moment for them.

One of the standout parts of the day was definitely the wedding breakfast setup. Their long candlelit tables looked absolutely incredible and created the most romantic atmosphere for dinner and speeches. Their florist, The Village Blooms, had done an incredible job with all the flowers on the tables and with the bouquet. As the full sun of the day was becoming hazy, and the candles flickered across the barn, everything felt so warm and intimate. It was one of those setups that instantly makes everyone stop and say “wow” when they walk into the room.

As always, I loved capturing all the in-between moments throughout the day, with guests chatting in the courtyard, drinks in hand, people laughing around the outdoor fire pits later in the evening and everyone making the most of the cosy spaces around the venue once the August air started to cool down.

We also snuck away for some golden hour couple photos (my ultimate favourite) and it felt completely magical. Quiet, relaxed and just really special. Those portraits ended up being some of my most treasured from the whole day.

The evening celebrations brought even more energy, with live music from amazing band The Moonrunners getting everyone onto the dance floor and keeping the party going late into the night. It felt like the perfect ending to such a beautiful wedding day loads of dancing, loads of laughter and everyone fully enjoying themselves.
